Vishay Precision Group (VPG) VFR has introduced a new high-precision Bulk Metallic pieces Foil Burden through-hole resistor. For the purpose of connection to the secondary-side of previous sensing Transformers Optimus case, the device offers below average TCR down to ±0. 2ppm/C by -55C to +125C, 25C ref., and high load-life stability akin to ±0. 005% after 2, 1000 hours at 0. 1W on 70C.

Current sensing transformers serve current sources and require a pack. Like a voltage source, a current useful resource shouldn't be left open, when it would cause an infinite volts. The VFR Burden resistor transforms the current to a limited voltage. Quite often, the device will be used to discharge a capacitor when the circuit is no longer powered.

The stress resistor is usually connected to the output together with the power device for the discharging together with the bulk output filter capacitor launched charged and connected to a large energy levels source, such as an accumulator or alternatively airplane battery. The resistor delivers low resistance of only a few ohms and prevents the influence akin to inrush current to the device that on which the power unit is connected. Inrush currents usually happen when the electrical power or accumulators are very large and the capacitance is too high.

The resistor offers a maximum power rating akin to 0. 6W at +70C. The nuvi features a resistance range from 1ohm so as to 500ohm, with tight resistance threshold to ±0. 005% (50ppm). All the conceivable ohmic value within this spread, to six digits, is available with no need of additional cost or lead a period of time effect. The resistor withstands ESD spikes to at least 25kV and is provided by both lead (Pb)-free and tin/lead alloy termination finishes.

Samples and as a result production quantities are available, says the insurer}.
